Why Am I Posting My Classics?
My classics are my first attempts at writing. They aren’t the greatest things I ever wrote, however? They are a part of my history. They are also a part of my old fanfiction.net days. Most classics only exist there, and I don’t trust fanfiction.net to always be there.
Things come and go. There is a chance a lot of things might disappear one day, it’s the reason I spread my work to multiple sites. However? Fanfiction.net really hates me. Like, it has been having problems with email notifications for months, and now?
It doesn’t even recognize my email to log in this week.@.@ I only have access via my Kindle fire, and I don’t know how long I can stay logged in on it. So obviously, the first things I am getting will be my classics. (Hopefully, this problem gets fixed, but I should definitely be playing preserve!)
Some of my classics are at different places now. A couple anyhow. I have really weird one-shots though that you wouldn’t believe were actually by me. I want to preserve those because no matter how terrible they are, they also showcased my first fandom loves. My first time I learned about people writing about the shows they loved.
Before that, I never knew it existed. Why would anyone write anything on shows? So I think we are talking 1999-2008 or so for my classics. After that, I think I got better. During that time though, I imagine the stuff being in 2004 or so wasn’t too bad.
Classics aren’t going to have covers. At least not at first if at all, back then there was no room or need for covers. Even the new covers I make now are not stellar.
Classics aren’t that serious. Really. I loved humor back then, and so a lot of my early work is mainly humor. I remember thinking ‘the world is too serious, I just want something funny. I want to make people laugh.’ Well, thank goodness I started to interject other genres.:)
